Watch The Vinyl Nation Documentary Thanks to 1091 Pictures, we can all enjoy experiencing an inspiring documentary about the vinyl LP.

Thanks to 1091 Pictures, we can all enjoy seeing the recent vinyl revolution. Not that the vinyl LP was ever a dead format, far from it! With that said, "dig into the resurgence of vinyl records, the diversification of vinyl fans, and the connective power of music. The vinyl record renaissance over the past decade has brought new fans to a classic format and transformed our idea of a record collector: younger, both male and female, multicultural.

This same revival has made buying music more expensive, benefited established bands over independent artists and muddled the question of whether vinyl actually sounds better than other formats. Vinyl Nation digs into the crates of the record resurgence in search of truths set in deep wax:

Has the return of vinyl made music fandom more inclusive or divided?

What does vinyl say about our past here in the present?

How has the second life of vinyl changed how we hear music and how we listen to each other?"

Everyone here at Enjoy the Music.com want to thank 1091 Pictures. As always, in the end what really matters is that you... enjoy the music!

How To Reissue A Record By Classic Records
A Step-By-Step Guide To The Reissue Process
Article By Classic Records
The first question to ask is, "Which master tape to use?" The answer is somewhat involved and can vary, depending on the objectives of the reissue project. If the goal is to recreate the sound of the original release as closely as possible, then finding the so-called "production master tape" makes sense. However, there are some caveats to consider. The production master tape may have been generated from a previous source, closer to the original performance. This earlier generation tape is often referred to as the "session tape" or "edited work part."
