Video: High-End Audio System Accuracy
What's your goal with your hi-fi system? Is it accuracy? (And what does that mean anyway?) Or is it a great listening experience? Scott Bierfeldt, founder of speaker manufacturer Verdant Audio, and Nicholas Tolson of LTA, discuss accuracy in loudspeakers and hi-fi systems. Linear Tube Audio is a high-fidelity audio manufacturing company on a mission to bring life back to music at an affordable price. Their amplifiers provide unparalleled accuracy and realism, putting you "in the room" of the original performance.
The heart of all LTA amplifiers is the the patented Berning output transformerless ZOTL technology. Sonically, this delivers the best of both worlds: tube tone and solid state detail. Each unit is expertly built by hand in the United States.
As part of Verdant Audio's mission, their products are all assembled in the USA and as many parts are manufactured or sourced from US based companies wherever possible. That is not always possible so if they can't get parts from the USA, they will look for Canadian or Western European suppliers and if that fails then we look to the Far East. For perspective, all Verdant Audio composite cabinets are manufactured in Pennsylvania and all bamboo cabinets and stands are manufactured in New Jersey. The cabinets are then assembled in Connecticut. Our crossovers are assembled in Wisconsin. Verdant will never shift manufacturing to China and will continue to support skilled labor in the USA, Canada and Western Europe whenever possible.
Bonus Video! Six Hi-Fi System Evaluation Songs
What to listen for.
As an added bonus, loudspeaker manufacturer Verdant Audio founder Scott Bierfeldt, shares the six tracks he uses to evaluate a hifi system, plus what he listens for in each song. He also has a few unique tips on how to get the most out of your speakers. We encourage you to support Scott's chosen charity, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Scott's mother has MS, and due to the great work of the NMSS and others, she has been living with MS for over 40 years, something that was unthinkable not that long ago.
