Best Of Toronto Audiofest 2026: Our Coveted Blue Note Awards Showcasing The Best Sounding Rooms Plus Honorable Mentions
See which exhibitors, loudspeakers, amplifiers, and audio sound systems impressed us most during Toronto Audiofest 2026's showcase of world-class high-end audio gear.
Toronto Audiofest 2026 Show Report By Rick Becker
With an impressive
43 rooms and 20 tables, I felt I had to raise the bar for both Best Of Toronto
2026 Blue Note Awards and Honorable Mentions, lest it looked like nearly
everyone was a winner. In a sense, everyone was. It was a lot of fun to attend
in this new venue, and the rooms gave everyone a shot at performing their
best—even the sleeping rooms. And more rooms would have made it into each
category if there had been 60 to 80 rooms.

comments within the full report. While awards and distinctions are always
subjective, each room recognized here delivered something memorable, whether
through exceptional sound quality, musical engagement, system synergy, or
overall presentation. Just as importantly, many other exhibitors came remarkably
close, making the final selections especially challenging.
Best Of Toronto Audiofest 2026
ArtistCloner, Baetis Audio, Saturn Audio,
And Tough Nut Audio
The demonstration of the Tough Nut component shelf demonstrated the difference
between a really good room and a great-sounding one.

Audio By Mark Jones
The ArtistCloner room right next door was a tough act to
follow, and there were clear differences between them, but Mark Jones is no
stranger to tough competition.

Bliss Acoustics
The music here filled the large room with glorious music
that was not without qualifiers, but it was nonetheless an outstanding
accomplishment.

Wynn Audio
Wynn Wong had several outstanding systems among the two
rooms he presented, but the recognition here goes to the one with the Alsyvox
speakers driven by the Audion Note Japan tube amplification for its
true-to-life presentation.
Honorable Mentions
An Honorable Mention at Toronto Audiofest 2026 is a noteworthy accomplishment in a field of highly competitive exhibitors. These rooms showcased impressive performance, thoughtful component matching, and a clear dedication to bringing music to life. Congratulations to each exhibitor for contributing to the outstanding success and enjoyment of this year's
high-end audio show in Toronto.

Hearken Audio
The diverse brands pulled together by Matt Thomas never
cease to amaze me, year after year.

Passion Audio
Passion Audio is another dealer who assembled an
outstanding system from a variety of companies and components that were new to
me.

Audio Note UK
This room is an annual favorite, and it sounded
exceptionally fine this year.

mono/stéréo
Danny Labrecque consistently puts together musical
systems for people interested in music and pulled together a combination of
brands I had not heard before.

Executive Stereo And Nordost
The combination of Accuphase amplification with a TAD
speaker was more inviting than the all-TAD systems I have heard.

Coherent Audio And Corby's Audio
Frank Fazzolari has been fearless in trying new ideas
over the years, and this new speaker produced music that was very exciting to
listen to.

HARMAN, Sound United And Bowers &
Wilkins
Recognition here goes to the truly immersive surround
sound experience with five 800 Series Bowers & Wilkins speakers

Audio Group Denmark And Wynn Audio
The consistently high performance of this company was
exhibited with the elevated product line in this particular system, one of
several at the show.
Tip Of The Hat
A Tip Of The Hat Award goes to all those rooms that presented affordable, real-world products in their rooms. You know who you are, and you were more prominent at this show than in the past. The athletes are on the playing field, but the masses are in the stands. May your plates be full as we all enjoy our music.

"Heartfelt thanks also go to the exhibitors who invested so much time, energy, and creativity into presenting their products and systems, as well as to the attendees whose enthusiasm makes events like this possible. Whether demonstrating a world-class reference system, introducing innovative new products, sharing technical knowledge, or simply sitting down to enjoy the music, everyone contributed to the special atmosphere that filled the show throughout the weekend. Most importantly, we thank the artists, recording engineers, and music creators whose work
inspires our hobby and industry. It is through their talent, combined with the dedication of the audio community, that
