  It seems like a short time ago, Gary and Lou were launching a new high-end audio It seems like a short time ago, Gary and Lou were launching a new high-end audio show in Big D. Now, two years later, the Southwest Audio Fest (SWAF) has made its way downtown. This year's accommodations are at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. This year has been shifted from Thursday to Saturday. That meant I had to hit the ground running to start taking it all in. I was able to visit all the rooms except the ballrooms on the second floor. I plan on visiting those first tomorrow. I saw lots of great gear! Here are some early impressions with  pics to pique your interest.

The energy throughout the hotel at SWAF 2026 was unmistakable, with attendees buzzing about new product launches and long-awaited demos. Exhibitors seemed especially enthusiastic this year, eager to show off their latest designs and reconnect with both familiar and new faces. Even in the early hours of the show, several rooms were already quite busy with listeners settling in for extended sessions. If the first day is any indication, SWAF 2026 is shaping up to be its most exciting edition yet!

Accuphase, imported into the U.S> by Playback Distribution, was one of the pioneers of high-end audio, so it was exciting to see some of their gear at the show. My pics don't do justice to how beautiful these components are.

Vibrant Audio was back in town; I got to enjoy listening to Avantgarde horns once again. Lucky for me, their room is right around the corner from mine.

Hegel's room was stunning in its simplicity. Pair an H600 integrated with some Magnepan 20.7Xs and have yourself a high-end system.

PureAudioProject teamed up with Western H-Fi to make a great first impression.

Pilot Radio premiered their new amplifier to pair with their fine Pilort preamplifier, which I World Premiere reviewed here on Enjoy the Music.com.

Yes, I'm going to use every opportunity I get to share more pics of the hypnotic Semrad horns.

The Bandwidth Audio room was hopping with a dynamic musical presentation.

The REL subwoofers in the Scott Walker room were quite intimidating.
