The SWAF 2026 marketplace was a busy venue during the show.

ASC Tube Traps were in many of the rooms at the show.

Music on Reels was selling their own custom tapes.

Stax Headphones had a nice demo of their wares.

Ulleam Audio was showing off his fantastic woodworking skills.

Snake River Audio was back with their all-silver cables.

Kirmuss Audio was demonstrating their ultrasonic record cleaning.

It's amazing how much work goes into putting one of these shows together. All you have to do is look at this room full of crates and boxes to imagine the effort. We kind of take it for granted now; it's crazy to think how quickly these folks convert a hotel room into a listening experience. For all of the people involved, it's the love of music that motivates them to do such a good job.

The amount of positive energy and great-sounding rooms at Southwest Audio Fest 2026 blew me away this year. I could have easily given out four more Blue Note awards! Sure, some rooms had cost-is-no-object gear, but what pleased me the most were all the systems with equipment one could envision in their living room. Kudos to Gary and Lou for putting on such an amazing show.
