Honorable Mention Rooms At Montreal Audiofest 2025

Phonographe
Their impressive system with Sudgen Audio, Wattson Audio, and the marvelous Revival Audio speaker was outstanding. (Part 1, room 1215)

Bliss Acoustics
A great system with their new open-baffle speaker. (Part 1, room 1227)

Galion Audio, Pearl Acoustics, Plus Thomas & Stereo
The combination of the tube amp and the single-driver folded horn speaker was captivating. This was probably the finest single-driver speaker I've ever heard. (Part 1, room 1228)

Gramophone Inc., Fyne Audio, And Tri-Cell Enterprises
A very well set-up room with the dynamic Fyne loudspeaker. (Part 1, room 1231)

Passion Audio
Their system with Lab 12 electronics, J Sikora turntable, Lampizator DAC, Burmester amp, and Wolf von Langa speaker on stilts. (Part 1, room 1240)

Baetis Audio And Tough Nut Audio
These exhibitors pulled together a room with T+A electronics, Silversmith cables, and Magico speakers for a formidable system. (Part 2, room 1305)

Mutine, Inc.
They used AGD Productions electronics to drive éQuation Point Source speakers to deliver a "You are there" musical experience. (Part 2, room 1310)

Atelier Audio
here, they pulled together an amalgam of different brands to produce the finest sound from the French Diptyque electrostatic speakers I’ve heard. And they’ve done this consistently for several years now. (Part 2, room 1326)

Northstar Audio
I've heard virtually this same system with this Von Schweikert speaker a couple of times at other shows, and it has earned a Best Rooms Award at Capital Audiofest. It simply needed a bigger room to show its true glory at Montreal. (Part 3, room 2345)

Filtronique Son-or
Brought together here at the Montreal Audiofest 2025 was a seldom heard combination of Bryston amplification and Sonus Faber speaker that was very synergistic. (Part 4, room 2414)

Audiophile Experts
They had a very fine room with a Revox tape deck, Accuphase electronics, KEF Blade speakers, and Luna cables that likely would have been among the Best Rooms if I had had a better seat in their controlled presentation. (Part 7, room O6)

Son Ultime
Son Ultime had a room with McIntosh Labs electronics driving Sonus Faber speakers and REL subwoofers that would likely have been among the Best Rooms, but for music that failed to show off the best of what this gear can do. (Part 7, room O7)
