45th Annual Grammy Awards
45th Annual Grammy Awards
Written by Steven R. Rochlin

Welcome to Enjoy the Music.com™'s 45th Annual Grammy Awards show coverage held by the Recording Academy. This report marks our third consecutive year covering the prestigious ceremony. As the only audiophile website who are also proud members of the Recording Academy, we take an active role with promoting this impressive event that celebrates music. While we might be the only audiophile publication the word "music" in their title, we all must remember that without great music our high-end audio systems are virtually worthless, other than for their possible aesthetic beauty. We also actively support the MusiCares Foundation who are the Recording Academy's non-profit organization that assist struggling musicians with addiction recovery, emergency financial assistance, health treatment and other quality of life issues.

Held on February 23rd, 2003 in New York's Madison Square Garden and broadcast live on television to 2 billion people in 180 countries, we are proud to offer our virtually live show coverage you see here. Twenty years after the Grammy Awards were first held in the old Madison Square Garden, New York City, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said "It is particularly meaningful that the Recording Academy has decided to bring back an event that showcases some of the music industry's most talented artists." Please feel free to see our 2001 coverage by clicking here and our 2002 coverage by clicking here.

Of course one does not simply show up to attend this very high-status event, you must be invited. Seen below is the front cover of the 45th Annual Grammy Awards invitation.

Upon opening my invitation to the award ceremony it was a wonderful sight as none other than world-renowned artist Peter Max showing his handiwork. Ok, enough with the foreplay let us get on to the show!
