Welcome to Enjoy the Music.com's
44th Annual Grammy Awards show coverage held by the Recording Academy. This
report marks our
second year covering the prestigious Grammy
Awards ceremony. As members of the Recording Academy, we take an active role
with the opportunity of not just choosing who we feel should win, but in
choosing who may get the opportunity to be nominated! We also actively support
the MusiCares Foundation who are the Recording Academy's non-profit
organization that assist struggling musicians with addiction recovery,
emergency financial assistance, health treatment and other quality of life
issues.
Held on February 27th at the Los Angeles Staples Center
(seen above), this is the second year in a row this venue was employed. Also
of note, Jon Stewart (seen below with two Grammy Awards) is once again the
emcee.
Of course one does not simply show up to attend this very high-status
event, you must be invited. Seen below is the front cover of the
44th Annual Grammy Awards invitation. Note the hints of the
American flag. Due to the recent events, the Recording Academy felt it was
best to show American pride.
Upon opening my invitation the American flag was more prominent,
if still a bit subdued. Ok, enough with the foreplay, let us get on to
the show!
