Acora Acoustics, VAC, Esoteric And TransRotor

Acora Acoustics has two rooms here at the Florida Audio Expo 2020. Acora speakers use extremely solid granite enclosures to ensure solid build quality, luxurious styling, and a solid foundation for the speaker drivers. Their SRC-1 floorstanders ($28,000 per pair) and SRB monitors ($15,000 per pair) mounted on SRS stands were both smooth and clean sounding. They were bring driven by Valve Amplification Company's (VAC) 450 iQ Monoblock power amplifier, VAC Master Preamplifier with phono stage, which was fed TransRotor's Massimo turntable with SME 5009 tonearm plus Triangle Art's Apollo cartridge. For digital duties, Esoteric's N-03T Network Audio Transport and Grandioso K1 SACD player were put to good use.

The other system / room with Acora Acoustics' SRB stand mount two-way placed on SRB granite stands were being driven by a VAC Sigma 170i integrated amplifier with phono and XLR balanced input. Turntable duties was filled by TransRotor's Fat Bob with SME 5009 tonearm and Airtight PC7 cartridge. Digital within this room was Esoteric's N-05 Network Audio Player and K-01Xs SACD player.

Hmmm, looks like my listening notes have both rooms together, and thus not each singularly. They were playing some glorious pipe organ music and it was glorious, and properly big. As the King of instruments, the pipe organ is a challenge for any system. There was an impressive immersiveness to the hall's sound, and from deep bass to the highest of highs, everything sounded very natural. Grew up hearing many pipe organs all around the world, so I truly know the sound of this grand instrument very well. Show exhibit room can be a challenge, and playing such a large instrument like a pipe organ is a true show of superiority. Congrats to Acora Acoustics as both rooms showcased excellent sound quality, definition, and wonderful spatial rendering.
