Audio Aero Capitole TransTRAC ($5,500) has a unique twist on power output. Obviously it uses a pair of 6CA7 tubes for output yet this is mated to solid-state for power output too! It is all combined.

He roller-tube dude early warning
He got solid-state mojo filter
He say "Tubes and solid-state for me"
Got to be good-sounding 'cause it's so hard to hear
Come together right now over me

deHavilland was trying to be sneaky in hiding their newish Mercury preamplifier ($3,500) that is the next level up from their Ultraverve. Our reviewer Dick Olsher is said to be reviewing this soon so stay tuned!

Acrolink is set for racing with their carbon fiber electric plugs. The use of carbon fiber is said to reduce resonances while the pins are made from deoxidized phosphorous bronze. Then they are directly silver-plated. Main lines are rhodium, though palladium and gold versions are also available.

With a purposeful output
And an amazing sound
He pulls the music
High-end wires down
Ampzilla!
Helpless audiophiles at the show again
Scream "MY G-D!" as they enjoy music on them...

Oh no, they say he's gotta go
Go, go Ampzilla!
Oh no, there goes Tokyo
Go, go Ampzilla!

Keeping in the spirit of music...

Livin' on the edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'
Livin' on the edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'
Livin' on the edge...

Edge Electronics had their GCD ($4,350) 24-bit/192kHz mondo upward and overward sampling unit. It has RCAs for both analog and digital output. When i asked about DVD-Audio or other higher resolution formats the Edge Electronics representative said they are waiting for "non-mechanical" formats to take hold.

VAC's new Auricle Musicbloc monoblock amplifiers ($4,990) feature a pair of KT88 to produce 70 watts in push-pull. These sucka's are rock solid man with CNC machined aluminum chassis made in house. The choke-based power supply insures clean power baby. Power to the people with 8-, 4-, and even 2-Ohm output so they can drive the toughest of loads.
