Le Festival Son et Image de Montréal 2001

Our pre-show report offers you a first look at what will be seen at the show before the actual event begins. Please remember that some of the below units are making their world debuted here on Enjoy the Music.com™ before making their appearance in any other press or public viewing. You heard about it here first as only Enjoy the Music.com™ can deliver!

EuroproductsEuroproducts Marketing, Ltd will have two rooms at the upcoming show (Delta Hotel 710 and 712) showcasing the Creek 5350SE integrated amplifier, Epos M12 and M15 loudspeakers, the Visonik Concept 5 and Concept 7 loudspeakers plus the complete Visonik Evolution home theatre system. Mr. Frank Urban of Visonik (Berlin) will be attending the show to personally demonstrate his wares and answering questions. Their vinyl playback system will include Ringmat's new Support System, Ringmat Feet, and of curse the popular Ringmat.

Soliloquy 6.5Soliloquy Loudspeaker Company will be showing their new Model 6.5 ($5,995/pr.) floorstanding unit that debuted here first on our CES 2001 pre-show report. As are all Soliloquy's loudspeaker products (except for their special application low-power triode SM-2A3) was designed by Phil Jones of Platinum Audio fame (and now with AAD). This 5-driver, 3-way design wherein the paralleled 3 x 6.5" woofers are in a staggered hi-pass configuration, each rolling off at a different frequency so that only one actually hands over to the 2" soft dome midrange. This 8ohm unit offer lower frequency reproduction down to 23Hz (-3dB) with a 92dB w/m sensitivity rating. Weighing in at a hefty 140lbs., the Model 6.5 is bi-wireable, includes a 1.5" front baffle with all other surfaces being 1" thick including the internal bracing. Front-mounted drivers are secured to 3/8" thick anodized aluminum "wave launch" plates. Three real wood veneers are offered including Rosewood, Curly Maple and Cherry. The front metal plates and spikes are offered in either silver or black.

More to come! Stay tuned!
