And RX-A3040 Receivers
Yamaha is showcasing at CEDIA EXPO 2014 their highest performing and most advanced line of
Aventage Series network AV receivers. Models in this series include the RX-A740, RX-A840, RX-A1040, RX-A2040 and RX-A3040 ($699.95, $899.95, $1,199.95,$1,699.95 and $2,199.95 respectively). Yamaha's RX-A3040 and RX-A2040 includes the Dolby Atmos format via a firmware update later this fall, while all models feature the latest HDMI standard and wide wireless network connectivity. The RX-A3040 and RX-A2040 AV receivers include Dolby Atmos.
To ensure peak video performance, all models offer video upconversion to 4K 60p with Yamaha proprietary video processing technologies and the latest HDMI format is supported in all models with 4K 50/60p and will have 4:4:4 chroma subsampling capability.
Each model now supports built-in wireless network connectivity to online music sources such as Pandora, Spotify Connect, Rhapsody, SiriusXM Internet Radio and vTuner music streaming services. Consumers can also enjoy music from AirPlay and HTC Connect compatible devices on all
Aventage models.
Yamaha's free AV Controller APP for iOS and Android devices provides comprehensive system control (power, volume, source, DSP mode, SCENE selection, zone control, etc.) from anywhere within the home network environment. Yamaha's most recent APP release offers listeners a more intuitive and flexible control over the receivers' many DSP modes.
Along with the 9.2-channel RX-A3040 and RX-A2040, the latest Aventage AV receivers are comprised of the 7.2-channel RX-A1040, RX-A840 and RX-A740 models.
Audiophiles may enjoy the high performance ESS Technology 192kHz/32-bit ES9016 DAC for the seven main channels, as well as an ESS ES9006 SABRE DAC to power the presence channels, with 124dB dynamic range.
Advanced HDMI multi-zone switching, which is also available in the RX-A2040, allows all input sources to be output via HDMI for enjoyment in different areas of the home. YPAO - R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) with 3D, multipoint and angle measurement corrects for imperfect room conditions and non-standard speaker placement for the best sounding results. The RX-A2040, RX-A1040 and RX-A840 feature YPAO - R.S.C. with multipoint measurement, while the RX-A740 offers YPAO with R.S.C. The RX-A2040 integrates two ESS ES9006 SABRE DACs, while the RX-A1040 uses one. The RX-A1040 offers HDMI zone switching that enables the same or different HDMI sources to be enjoyed in two rooms simultaneously.
In rooms where a traditional 5.1 or 7.2 speaker setup is not ideal, Yamaha offers exclusive Virtual CINEMA FRONT technology that allows consumers the ability to place all speakers at the front of the listening area and still achieve a convincing surround sound effect.
