SolidDrive SD1g And SD1
SolidDrive SD1g Glass TranducerSolidDrive is demonstrating the company's patented "Sound Without Speakers" technology at CEDIA EXPO 2014 here in Denver. The series includes the SD1g glass-mount and SolidDrive SD1 drywall mount ($510 each) with optional cantilever bracket. SolidDrive products are hidden sound transducers that transmit acoustical energy through almost any solid surface. The products’ patented technology utilizes very high powered neodymium magnets and dual symmetrically opposed motors to convert audio signals into powerful vibrations that are transferred onto solid surfaces via direct contact. Using a SolidDrive transducer, virtually any hard surface can be turned into a loudspeaker. High-quality, full-range sound is radiated from the entire surface with a frequency response of 60 Hz to 15 kHz.

SolidDrives are designed to bring completely invisible audio to a room and are suitable for both residential and commercial applications. UL1480 and UL2043 models are available for glass, drywall (sheetrock/gypsum board) and wood; a desktop model is also available. For drywall applications, an optional balanced cantilever spring bracket is available. This bracket spans wall or ceiling studs to provide strength and stability to the installation, with multiple bracket widths being available. The optional SD250 mini amplifier provides 2x50 watts of amplification along with built-in EQ curves for glass, drywall and wood.

Both models come with a seven year warranty and are manufactured within the United States.
