Dynaudio Xeo 4, Xeo 6 Plus New Focus XD 200, XD 400, And XD 600 Speakers
Dynaudio Xeo 4 Active SpeakerDynaudio is at the 2014 CEDIA Expo with their new Dynaudio Xeo 4 and Xeo 6 wireless loudspeaker systems, plus a preview the company's forthcoming Focus XD active loudspeakers. When Dynaudio's original Xeo was launched in 2012, it set the company's sound quality standard for their wireless speaker lineup. The new Xeo 4 and Xeo 6 wireless loudspeaker systems handle 24-bit/96kHz files, have better DSP performance, upgraded amplifiers and advanced sound tuning compared to the first-gen model. Hookup features include a 3.5mm stereo jack and RCA connectors. Frequency response for the Xeo 4 is 45 Hz to 23 kHz while the Xeo 6 is 31 Hz to 23 kHz.

The compact Xeo 4 is powered by 2x50 watt amplifiers, while the floor-standing Xeo 6 is powered by 3x50 watts of amplification. They receive the wireless audio signal from the new Xeo Hub wireless transmitter, which can be placed up to 50 meters from the Xeo speakers in a typical home (100 meters in an open space). The Xeo Hub, which digitally transmits the wireless signal to the partnered Xeo loudspeakers. Up to three sets of Xeo speakers can connect to one Xeo Hub, each with individual source selection and volume control. Dynaudio's Xeo Hub connects directly from virtually any source and provides multi-room, multi-source via advanced digital technology. The Xeo Extender and Xeo Link bring you flexible Xeo system for a much broader scope of use. The Xeo Extender is designed to extend the transmission distance between the Xeo Hub and the Xeo loudspeakers. The Xeo Link can receive the wireless signal from the Xeo Hub and provides analog and digital outputs. Thus, an active subwoofer, active loudspeakers or any other audio device can be connected and linked to the Xeo system.

The Xeo Hub wireless transmitter features TosLink optical, S/PDIF coaxial and USB digital inputs that each supports up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution, while one stereo RCA and one stereo mini analog input each are on offer to further expand the Xeo system possibilities. An Ethernet connection facilitates future updates. New multi-band technology in the Xeo Hub ensures stability and reliability, as either the 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz or 5.8 GHz bands can be utilized for the wireless transmission.

Dynaudio and T+A will are also co-exhibiting with Wolf Cinema and REL, where a Dynaudio Confidence Platinum theater system comprised of the Confidence C2 Platinum, Confidence Center Platinum, and Confidence C1 Platinum models are being driven by the T+A K8 Blu-ray receiver. Dynaudio's preview of the company's next loudspeaker model, the forthcoming Focus XD active loudspeakers, are being exclusively shown within a private suite by appointment at the Hyatt (across from the Convention Center). Dynaudio founder Wilfried Ehrenholz is on-hand to present the new Focus XD models during the show.

Dynaudio's new Focus XD series, as seen above, includes the XD 200 bookshelf, XD 400 floorstander and top line XD 600 (rear panel photo included for the XD 600).
