CES 1997

        1991 Acura Integra Type R-X

Sekson Chamnong, a.k.a. Birdman, is one killer party dude. His car reflects this because underneath the exterior of this car lies not only a sound system, but a high-performance system for those with the need for speed! One look under the hood and you begin to get the idea... this guy is very serious about his car.

High Performance Under The Hood

From the bottom of this picture you see Birdman's Lightning Audio battery with gold battery terminals. As you move upward you start seeing all his high-performance parts which include a CD ignition system and the gold box on the top right is the Crane HI-6R racing unit. A racing air filter and other tweaks fill his engine compartment. His car is claimed to have 350 hp and can do the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds! Between this and his stereo, it brings a new meaning to the words "DB Drag Racing".

MMATS D200 H.C.

In the hatchback we find all the goodies for his high-performance music reproduction system. Three MMATS D200 H.C. high-current amplifiers supply his system with fast paced music. To the right and left of his amplifier are 1.5 farad Lightning power caps. Just above all this are his Sony ES P1 processor/preamp and the Sony ES X1 digital crossover which is capable of slopes as steep as 72db per octave! All the signals are fed from his Sony ES P1 display unit and Sony EQ which are mounted in the dash. All the signals are completely digital until they are finally sent out analog from the X1 crossover.

The Drivers Side Window Column

To continue his high speed car we have on top the boost gauge. In the middle is the temperature and to the bottom is the all important tachometer. Man, i'd love to feel the way this baby redlines it! Birdman is considering changing to the new Sony XES system which i heard at the WCES this year. The new XES system will surely turn some heads when it becomes available. A review of it is in the works for Car Stereo Review. To say Birdman's current system is amazing is an understatement both sonically and in its speed performance. Birdman is one dude who knows how to party! Seen below is Birdman with Maria Self. Go on with your bad self brother Birdman! (pun intended)
