Toronto Audiofest 2025: Complete Show Coverage, Biggest Gear Reveals, And Best Demos
Burmester And Wolf Von Langa
The LampizatOr Genya is an exceptional value among high-priced DACs, featuring trickle-down components from their much more expensive flagship, all housed in a basic chassis.
This was one of the Top Tier rooms at the show. The Matrix Audio NT-1 has already garnered some critical acclaim at its reasonable price point.
Passion Audio And Mon Acoustics
It has been a pleasure watching Mon Acoustics from South Korea grow and improve their presentations over the years. The two-piece speakers here rival YG Acoustics when driven by the expensive Burmester components in this rig. This was also among the Top Tier rooms.
Auralis Distribution
I admired the new LAIV components from Singapore in my Chicago show report, and they impressed me even more at Toronto. The monoblocks are GaNFET design. The industrial design of LAIV components is first-class and will certainly help build their brand. A Matrix Audio TT-1 digital transport was used here.
Kennedy HiFi And PS Audio
PS Audio was among my favorite rooms at the Chicago show where they featured a bigger rig in a much larger room. They featured their new transport, DAC, and preamp here, too, but the smaller speakers didn't play as well in this smaller room. Perhaps they just needed a bigger room. I was told we can expect a new amplifier in their flagship series in Q1 next year. Kimber Carbon series cables were used here.
