WCES '99

There i was.  How did i end up in a place like this?  Another who is doing what to who and where and how they're doing it.  My name is Richard Rochlin, but most people call me Dick.  i'm a private eye with a knack for finding danger.  One day a girl, a chick, a dame; this goddess paid me to travel with her to a seedy town called Las Vegas for some investigation work.  She was a looker with long sticks, walkers, body-props; legs.  She promised to pay me $8,000, plus cover my daily expenses, to do this job for her.  This dame must have been desperate.  i smirked and thought to myself, my kinda gal.  So like a rabbit gets, well, you know i found myself on an airplane to quickly get the information she wanted.  Never keep a good woman waiting is my motto.  So she gave me half the money up front and the rest when she gets what she wants.  So off i went.

My instincts told me the information she wanted was at this show.  It is called the WCES and held every January.  That's where i'd find what she needed.  Upon arriving in Las Vegas, i found this darkly lit joint to use as a home base.  It smelled from cheap perfume and bad booze.  My kinda place.  What i felt was going to be an easy mark, fast job, in n' out, a quickie, soon turned into days of mind numbing investigation.  What you are about to read is the saga of these long days and shady-deal nights.  So sit back and remember, no one is better then this dic at getting the job done.  No job too hard, no job too long.  That's another motto of mine but i've wasted enough of your time.  Now on with the story...
