  In the Welborne Labs room were the Oris 150 horn system with AER BD3 driver for midbass on upward and a 15-inch driver for bass. Various options include bronze phase plug, solid aluminum stand, and active crossover.

 

Also in the Welborn Labs room was their DRD 45 direct reactance drive topology single-ended type 45 tube amplifier. The design is from Jack Elliano of Electraprint that has become popular in this genre of music reproduction.

 

Welborn's Ultrapath pd battery powered pre-amplifier features transformer coupled outoput, headphone jack, and employs a pair of 6GM8/ECC86 for amplification. An overnight battery change allows for ten hours of musical bliss. All Welborne Labs electronics are available in either kit or pre-assembled form.

 

47 Labs model 4713 CD transport/player made its appearance for digital replay.

 

At VSAC they highlight craftsman with their own room. Here is where individule's work and hours of careful creation is featured. Seen above is the Apair pre-amplifier that was designed not just for great performance, but also for ease of modification. Seen below are other items in the craftsman room.
