Chuck & Albert
Energie

My French is only so-so, but you don't need a command of the Gallic language to understand Energie. The comedy team Chuck and Albert hail from Acadia and they use Acadian tunes and folklore as a basis for their own songs. Their music combines rustic musical textures with clever lyricism. Imagine the Holy Model Rounders speaking French and you have an idea of what to expect from Chuck and Albert.

Joe Pug
Messenger

Joe Pug's first full-length album combines the twang of alt country with the introspective lyrics of contemporary folk. His melodies have the melodic ease of pop/country hits but he tempers this euphony with his dark narratives. Comparisons with Steve Earle and Tom Petty are inevitable, but musically 25-year old Pug is his own man.

Chris Knight
Trailer II

Home studios come in all sizes and shapes. Chris Knight's is in his singlewide trailer. This CD is the second of a continuing series that feature Chris and his guitar with no overdubs or sweetening. He's a heck of a songwriter as these twelve original songs amply prove. Hopefully it will sell well enough so he can afford an air conditioner for his abode.
