Shelter's new Harmony (€4000) had a body made from layered sheets of carbon fiber and includes carbon fiber hardware! This MC has a 0.5mV output, internal impedance is 15 Ohms, weights 8.5 grams, and has a frequency response of 20Hz to 50Hz.

Longstanding audio manufacturer Luxman may indeed be coming back to America and will include the company's solid-state and tubed units. Seen here is the launching of Luxman's new SQ-N100 (€2400) stereo integrated tube amplifier. It produces 12 wpc with a frequency response from 20Hz to 50kHz from a pair of EL84 per channel. Other Luxman goodies include the EQ-88 (€1550) tubed phonostage and M800A (€9900) 60 wpc stereo amplifier.

Consonance, who makes one of my favorite 211/VT4C monoblock amplifiers (as reviewed within Superior Audio) released their new LP LIU table and ST100 tonearm (€2400 as a package). The black acrylic platter sits on a ceramic ball and graphite. In fact, graphite is used strategically on the base and tonearm mount for anti-resonance purposes. The carbon fiber tonearm is 9 inches long while the main arm to mount is precision made by a watch manufacturer.

Consonance's new Cyber 10 (€1000) integrated tube amplifier has USB and analog inputs plus headphone output. A single KT88 per channel can be changed to KT66 if desired; the tube can operate in triode or ultralinear mode. The digital input employs no oversampling. Am awaiting a review sample to arrive at my doorstep.

At the High End Society's Munich event are many parts retailers, perhaps hinting at the huge DIY and tweak market. Intertechnik's booth had an over 6 feet high display with capacitors, coils, loudspeaker binding posts and much more!

Wait! Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Roy Hall drinking... bottled water? (Said in good fun and humor as Roy in a great guy). The original negative of this photo is available to the highest bidder as this incredibly rare photo is sure to become a very rare collector's item! (Serious) Ok, those of us who have known Roy for many years may have a bit of friendly fun as Roy indeed has supplied more than a few hundred glasses of single malt scotch to audio reviewers (Full Disclosure: as i do not drink alcohol, the previous statement does not include Yours truly). Also, Roy is a man with a great sense of humor and joy for life.
