  Thor Audio's new TPA-150, 150-watt monoblock amplifier ($24,999) employs eight EL34 output tubes in ultra-linear mode. The chassis itself is done via metal spinning, 100% point to point wiring for the audio signal, all transformers are overspecced as is the power supply. Due to this, it will handle loads from 1.5 ohms to 16 ohms with ease.

 

Audio Note Japan's new Ongaku-Pre KSL-77 all silver pre-amplifier ($42,000) features four inputs plus a MM phono stage. Internal parts include the usual Kondo tweaky and wonderful hand made silver foil capacitors, resistors, and totally custom hand made volume control. This is Kondo-san all the way folks!

 

Zanden Model 2000P CD transport ($25,000) offers extreme clock stability, outboard power supply, very precise clock, and AES/EBU, BNC, ans I2S master clock output.

 

Audiopax naturally had their model eighty-eight monoblock amplifiers and loudspeakers. New from Audiopax is their model five pre-amplifier ($3,999) offers separate right/left gain control, volume control, and four line inputs that are controlled separately for right and left channel.

 

Tetra 505 Limited loudspeaker in custom finish ($10,000) are also available for $8,000 in a satin black finish. A near conventionally shaped box unit can be purchased for $5,200. Electronics are by Birdland and EAD digital font end. Kubala-Sosna cables were employed throughout.
