Y, Cb, Cr Y, Cb, Cr denotes a way of describing a
video signal's "color space." "Y" indicates the luminance portion of
the signal, while "Cb" and "Cr" represent the two chrominance portions
of the signal. Y, Cb, Cr is used primarily for interlaced scan–only component
video connections and does not support high-definition video signals. Y, Cb, Cr
images are easily converted to and from the RGB format.
Y, Pb, Pr Y, Pb, Pr refers to a progressive
scan–capable component video input/output connections. Some Y, Pb, Pr
connections are also HD-compatible.
