Audio Sensibility Testament Figure8 Power Cord

  To meet the needs of smaller and more compact electronics such as Blu-ray players, 4K HDTVs, MAC Mini computers and music servers, the industry has increasingly been turning to the two-prong C7 connector for detachable power cords. While a few companies have stepped up to improve upon generic standard issue cords, none have taken this need as seriously as Audio Sensibility with their Testament Figure8 Power Cord. Their Testament Figure-8 (C7) model is basically a two-conductor version of their Testament power cord which I have used with great success hard wired to my Sony ES Tuner. It incorporates 13AWG Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper of 7N purity, Furutech IEC connector and the F8 connector, all of which are cryogenically treated before assembly. ERS material is used for shielding along with braided copper and bare ends are treated with CAIG DeoxIT Gold ($26) anti-oxidation treatment before final assembly. Available mail order direct at $199 Canadian dollars for a 1.5-meter length, USA customers will realize a discount of about 25% due to the strength of the U.S. dollar.
