New York Audio Design Exhibition
2001

Before the third group gave their presentation, there was an auction that consisted of donated items. Magnequest donated some transformers as did Electraprint plus many other goodies. A Valve unit from the genius of Doc Bottlehead Foreplay pre-amplifier was auctioned and it went for $65. Bargains galore at the nyNOISE show! GM70 Russian transmitting tubes were auctioned off by Mr. Slagal (they sold for $50). Aloha Audio donated a DACT stepped attenuator volume control and a balance control. These are awesome as i myself use them in my home-brew passive preamplifier. They sold for $175. A pair of standard telephone, new in the package 212 tubes and they sold for $950! A bargain as they can sell for upwards of $3,000. None other than Joe Roberts of Sound Practices fame donated a pair of Loth-X loudspeakers (sold for $300).
