This 5-driver, 3-way design wherein the paralleled 3 x 6.5" woofers are in a staggered hi-pass configuration, each rolling off at a different frequency so that only one actually hands over to the 2" soft dome midrange. This 8ohm unit offer lower frequency reproduction down to 23Hz (-3dB) with a 92dB w/m sensitivity rating. Weighing in at a hefty 140lbs., the Model 6.5 is bi-wireable, includes a 1.5" front baffle with all other surfaces being 1" thick including the internal bracing. Front-mounted drivers are secured to 3/8" thick anodized aluminum "wave launch" plates. Three real wood veneers are offered including Rosewood, Curly Maple and Cherry. The front metal plates and spikes are offered in either silver or black.
