The unappealing habit of ear wax to block our hearing without regular removal usually doesn't rank highly as a literary subject. However, to wax poetic about musical matters not only qualifies, it might instead inspire the opposite - opening our aural faculties to new horizons. How about applying figurative wax to polish our audio enjoyment to a brilliant luster? As already suggested by the cockeyed title itself, adding a minor dose of irreverence to this thematic stew then has all the makings for a new audio column.
